Ingredients

  • 1 pack of 8 count Crescent Rolls (ready to bake)
  • 8 tsp + 1 tbsp Nutella or Hazelnut Spread
  • 4 tbsp Mini Chocolate Chips
  • 1/2 tbsp Butter, melted
  • few Almond slices (unsalted) chopped roughly

Instructions

Prepping the Chocolate Crescent Rolls for Air Frying

  • Open the can of Crescent Rolls. And spread the crescent roll sheet out on your working kitchen board. Cut the triangles out at the perforated line with kitchen Knife or Scissor. Set them aside separated on a plate or parchment paper.
  • Now take 1 triangle and spread it out on the kitchen board. Take 1 tsp of  Nutella and spread it with Butter knife on the triangle leaving the edges.
  • Further add about 1/2 tbsp of mini chocolate chips on the wider side of the triangle.
  • Now start rolling from the wider side and roll into a tight croissant. (WATCH THE VIDEO). Set it aside on a parchment paper. Finish the rest 7 of the croissants likewise. Now you have 8 Chocolate Croissants ready to be air-fried.

  • Meanwhile preheat the air fryer at 325*F for 2-3 minutes. Now place the air fryer parchment paper on the Air fryer basket. Place 4-5 croissants at a time. Brush them lightly at the top with melted butter.
  • Air fry at 325*F for 4 minutes. Now remove the parchment paper to cook the bottom well and air fry for additional 1-2 minutes. Make sure no to over brown the top.
  • NOTE – every air fryer model is different. Therefore timing can vary for each model.
  • Take these out and cool on the cooling rack for 1-2 minutes before garnishing. Garnish the Croissants

  • Now take 1-2 tbsp of Nutella in a small zip-lock bag. Push it towards one corner and make a cone by tying a tie or rubberband at the top. Open the mouth of the cone with kitchen scissor in a thin opening. Or if you have a piping bag, then use that instead. (watch the video).
  • Now drizzle the Nutella on top of the CHOCOLATE CROISSANTS in the desired pattern. And top with roughly chopped sliced almonds.

Serve these warm. SO SO SO GOOD!!

What are the ingredients of Chocolate Crescent Rolls?

This recipe is super simple. Although it needs only 3 main ingredients, the rest are to make it pretty and more delectable. Therefore go ahead, use either 3 or all of it. The best part is that all the ingredients are already in your kitchen. The only 1 ingredient that needs planning is – the ready to bake crescent rolls. I often have it handy in my refrigerator since it is very convenient to use in many family friendly recipes.

Mini Chocolate Chips – I normally use mini semi sweet milk chocolate chips. You can use dark chocolate too. I would recommend using minis since it doesnn’t bulk up the rolls and easy to roll. You can use chocolate bar and chop it fine before using.

Butter – Although it is not a must ingredient to the recipe, but it adds nice shine on the top when rolls are glazed with it.

Almonds – I used some unsalted slices of almonds (roughly chopped) to top these chocolate croissants to add some dimension to the texture. And it was a good idea. It is optional.

Crescent Rolls – You can buy any brand of “ready to bake” crescent rolls from the market. If you have a recipe for home-made crescent roll dough, then go ahead and make your own dough and use it. I buy mine from Aldi. Pillsbury products are also good. In case you can’t find crescent rolls dough, then use ready to bake biscuits and make chocolate bombs.
