  • 1 450g Tube Sausage Meat

  • 2 tbsp Tomato Puree

  • 1 Egg (beaten)

  • 1 kg Block Puff Pastry (defrosted at room temperature)

  • Flour (for dusting)

Directions

  • Dust a clean work surface with flour and use a rolling pin to roll out the puff pastry into a long rectangle.
  • Slice the rolled pastry in half lengthways to create two strips for your sausage rolls.
  • Brush a layer of tomato puree across both strips, avoiding the edges reserved for the egg wash.
  • Add a layer of sausage meat in the middle of each strip and press down to create a long layer.
