Air Fryer Roasted Garlic
Ingredients
- 1 head of garlic
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 200 °C (400 °F) for about 5 minutes.
- Prepare the Garlic:
- Take a whole head of garlic and peel away the outer layers of the skin, leaving the individual cloves intact.
- Cut about 1/4 inch off the top of the garlic head to expose the cloves.
- Season the Garlic:
- Drizzle the exposed cloves with olive oil, making sure it seeps into the cloves. You can also sprinkle a little salt and pepper if desired.
- Wrap in Foil:
- Wrap the garlic head tightly in aluminum foil. This helps it roast evenly and prevents it from burning.
- Air Fry the Garlic:
- Place the wrapped garlic in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry at 200 °C (400 °F) for about 20-25 minutes. The garlic is done when it is soft and golden brown.
- Cool and Use:
- Once cooked, carefully unwrap the foil (it will be hot) and let the garlic cool for a few minutes.
- Squeeze the roasted garlic cloves out of their skins. They should come out easily.
- Store or Serve:
- Use immediately in recipes, spread on bread, or mix into mashed potatoes. You can also store roasted garlic in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
