Air Fryer Roasted Garlic

Ingredients

  • 1 head of garlic
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 200 °C (400 °F) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Garlic:
    • Take a whole head of garlic and peel away the outer layers of the skin, leaving the individual cloves intact.
    • Cut about 1/4 inch off the top of the garlic head to expose the cloves.
  3. Season the Garlic:
    • Drizzle the exposed cloves with olive oil, making sure it seeps into the cloves. You can also sprinkle a little salt and pepper if desired.
  4. Wrap in Foil:
    • Wrap the garlic head tightly in aluminum foil. This helps it roast evenly and prevents it from burning.
  5. Air Fry the Garlic:
    • Place the wrapped garlic in the air fryer basket.
    • Air fry at 200 °C (400 °F) for about 20-25 minutes. The garlic is done when it is soft and golden brown.
  6. Cool and Use:
    • Once cooked, carefully unwrap the foil (it will be hot) and let the garlic cool for a few minutes.
    • Squeeze the roasted garlic cloves out of their skins. They should come out easily.
  7. Store or Serve:
    • Use immediately in recipes, spread on bread, or mix into mashed potatoes. You can also store roasted garlic in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
