Air Fryer Carrots, including cooking times, temperatures,

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of carrots (baby carrots or whole carrots, peeled and cut into sticks)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon dried herbs (like thyme or rosemary, optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Carrots:
    • If using whole carrots, peel them and cut them into uniform sticks (about 1/2 inch thick).
    • If using baby carrots, you can leave them whole.
  2. Season the Carrots:
    • In a large bowl, toss the carrots with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and herbs until evenly coated.
  3. Preheat the Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  4. Air Fry the Carrots:
    • Place the seasoned carrots in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to do this in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
    • Cook the carrots at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes. Shake the basket halfway through cooking for even browning.
  5. Check for Doneness:
    • After 15 minutes, check the carrots. They should be tender and caramelized. If you prefer them softer, continue cooking for another 5 minutes.
  6. Serve:
    • Once done, remove the carrots from the air fryer and serve immediately. You can garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Tips:

  • Adjust cooking time based on the thickness of your carrot sticks.
  • For a bit of sweetness, you can add a sprinkle of brown sugar or honey before air frying.

Total Time:

  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Cooking Time: 15-20 minutes
